John believes that one of his greatest achievements was when he was chosen as Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 by Cambridge Who’s Who. Another was while working for Henderson Directory as the provincial sales manager where he coached his sales representatives on selling the business directory.
He taught them not only to sell the directory but also to sell the advertising, with it. The book itself was $95 and you could get a quarter page ad with your business name on the side panel of every 32nd page for an additional $30, or total of $125. John taught the representative to sell the $30 add-on once the initial sale had been made, it was far easier to sell a $30 add-on than it was to try and sell $125.00.
The VP of this company contacted him to let him know that one people he had trained had set a 125 year sales record because of John’s advice.
A heavy truck salesman in Calgary Alberta, got a $4000 raise in his commissions in the first two weeks of working with John’s ideas and advice.
A mother and her son in BC, Canada were able to save $65,000 between them. $55,000 for the mother from one of Canada’s big banks and $10,000 for the son when he was dealing with a former business partner. They were both very appreciative of John’s advice.
