When people first come to your site their main concern is can you help them with their problem? At this point they don’t care about whatever processes, systems or methods you use.
Most small businesses are stuck not getting the results they want because they fail to answer that age old question that each and every one of us asks when we go to buy something. “What’s In It For Me?” (WIIFM)
We have all heard “people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”
Putting your credentials, methodology, years in business, pictures of your office, your staff and may be even some of your equipment (if you have something special) is only important to the people in the picture. It’s like: “Wow, who cares about this stuff.”
Before meeting with John Allen, I thought my customer approach was pretty good but, it wasn’t always successful. After working with John he showed me how to improve my approach, execution and closing. He explained the importance of a customer data base, which resulted in tripling our sales. Most importantly he taught me two very important things.
- If you don’t have a business card – you’re not in business.
- It doesn’t matter how many business seminars, courses and workshops you attend if you don’t put into practice what you have learned – you have just wasted your time and money.
